Artist's Comments

This is actually on location stuff for district. They sent me out to do a sushi article. I don't really like doing food with natural light, and I don't have a tripod or can't use one a lot when doing newspaper stuff. Bah. Oh high ISO, when will I escape you?

Film scan updates probably start tommorow. Man they take forever.

Such colorful eats! I think I would have liked a wider depth of field in this one, but there were probably too many limitations... look at me pretending like I know about photography! Oh ho ho!

Very nice picture!

Very colourful, ^^

I like the juiciness f the picture here, very well done,
The high ISO shows though, around the bottome left corner of the pic where it's darker than the rest.

oh definatly. It's hard sometimes, on newspaper assignments, when I have to sacrifice reproduction quality to get the shot they want. Normally I'd do something like this in the studio, but I just don't have time. The ISO doesn't really show when they reprint it though, because newspaper stuff always looks like crap anyway.

yeah, it was underexposed as it was, lol. I was pretty much at the limits of my lens and camera (1600). You know how low restaurant lighting can be
