_____________

By request, the preview image is the normal size I post (I shoot 4x5 or 645 film full frame, so all my stuff is 1.25:1 ration, or 8x10 print by default), 720x900, but there is a much bigger image that you can download and view for detail. Enjoy! :D

Edit: You can also click here: [link] to see another size of it, cause I was told that a medium size one would be nice to get an overall feel of the image, since the preview (although I uploaded it at 720x900) resizes to 300x375, and the other one is nice for detail but pretty damn big. I'm going to leave the big one up though, so people can use it on their desktop or whatever.

This is not a photomanip (composite), this is like all the other commercial studio stuff I've been posting, but I really wanted to try a new direction with this. It does have a little photoshop, of course, but I wanted to stress that the background and forground are all there, not created digitally. It took a while to get right, mainly because of the blue saturation being too much for the image sensor to handle, resulting in banding.

Shot with Mamiya 645 AFD, with a 120mm macro. I lit it much like I light my studio portraits (more to come, as always, of those).

O-Nin Yhbt5 by *f4shi0nabl3 is quite possibly the most graceful of onions I've ever seen. The lighting work is simply masterful and the concept very unique. (Suggested by ~sbv20 and Featured by $Moonbeam13)

Thank you. I spent about 4 hours over the table working on this one, most of the time getting the lighting perfect.

I try ^^;
There isn't much you can do in a medium as well traversed as photography that hasn't been done yet. You just gotta try and do it differently.
