Max Power, he's the man whose name you'd love to touch! But you mustn't touch! His name sounds good in your ear, but when you say it, you mustn't fear! 'Cause his name can be said by anyone!
yeah, sheet of brushed aluminum (I think that's how it's spelled.), and 4 heavy duty clamps and a boom stand. I just used it the same way I would use some seamless, which took a little effort, but wasn't that hard in the end. It's almost a visual pun, really, but I don't expect anyone to get it, lol.

in my humble opinion, your product shots far exceed your portraiture work (if you care to hear an outsider's opinion.. i know i sometimes get a bit grumpy when people tell me the same thing...)
whats your background here?
textury and reflective with no seam??? wooooooow...

I don't mind, I'm glad you think my product work is good. My portrait work actually does get a lot of recognition though, but it's not mind blowing or extreemly creative. However, the people are happy with it, so that's fine for me.
In terms of why..?
Probably mainly because I have far less control in the portrait work, it's usually on assignment, or for a job and I only have an hour and a client that doesn't really want to be photographed, lol.
I intend to work on more fine art portraiture over the next few years.
Anyway, I'll reply about the backround to your other comment.

A sheet, bent and used as a sweep, which a few clamps and a bit of effort, lol.
